About the Role

Civica is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for full end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 400 fortnightly EBA staff and 500 monthly staff across the Civica business.

The ideal candidate will have impeccable attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. In this role, you will be responsible for calculating payments in line with Enterprise Agreement, Awards, Legislation, and any other contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end payroll processing for approximately 400 fortnightly EBA staff and 500 monthly staff
  • Calculating payments in line with Enterprise Agreement, Awards, Legislation, and any other contractual obligations
  • Review, scrutinise, and prepare Payroll Upload Data working files (Leave, Timesheets)
  • Set Up, Update, and Maintain Employee files
  • Maintain payroll working files, spreadsheets, and registers
  • Email inbox management
  • Providing exceptional customer service and support to staff and management on general payroll related queries
  • Investigate and resolve payroll queries in a timely manner
  • Undertake any other duties as directed by the Payroll Manager
  • Prepare any related statutory reports and payments
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and reporting entities (ATO, Centrelink, Superfunds, ADP)
  • Adhoc admin tasks
  • Cross train and provide Payroll support across Civica ANZ entities
  • Ensure all confidentialities are assured in all matters pertaining to Payroll and Personnel

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience in payroll processing
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
