Job Description
As a Nursing Team Lead in our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and staff, and supervising a team of nurses to achieve excellent patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care to patients in the emergency department
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
- Ensuring patient and staff safety by implementing policies and procedures
- Supervising and guiding nursing team members to deliver patient care
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- A Postgraduate Certificate in Emergency/Critical Care Nursing (or working towards)
- A Working with Children check
- A commitment to quality patient care
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
- Basic computer skills
