About the Role

Job Summary

This Full-Time / Permanent role involves providing specialized care to infants, children, and adolescents in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to paediatric patients, including assessments, treatments, and monitoring of vital signs and health status.
  • Collaborate with paediatricians, parents, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualised care plans for each child.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed, while ensuring proper dosage and monitoring for side effects.
  • Track and document patients' health progress, adjusting care plans as needed based on their evolving needs.
  • Provide guidance and education to parents and caregivers about their child's health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
  • Create a safe and comforting environment for paediatric patients, addressing their physical and emotional needs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in paediatric nursing or related paediatric healthcare settings.
  • Certification in paediatric nursing is highly desirable.
  • Vaccinations: Up-to-date with annual flu and COVID-19 vaccinations.
  • Work Rights: Must have full work rights in Australia.
