Senior Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator

This role involves overseeing the day-to-day implementation of health and safety protocols at a facility. As an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and promoting safety initiatives, cultivating a positive and consistent WHS culture across the site, and working to reduce injury frequency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing effective safety strategies
- Providing guidance and support to team leaders, managers, and employees on all WHS-related matters
- Identifying and mitigating hazards as they arise
- Ensuring compliance with ISO standards and quality management systems
- Collaborating with stakeholders to achieve business objectives while maintaining a safe work environment
Requirements:
- Cert IV in WHSQ or equivalent experience in manufacturing/mining/construction industry
- Strong safety, quality, and training background with experience in a similar position and sound knowledge of WHS requirements, legislation, and compliance
- Experience with Safety Management Systems, Lean manufacturing, and quality accredited organizations and environmental management systems
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders
