Job Description

This role sits within the Data Office and will contribute to enabling the Modern Data Platform (MDP) strategy to meet the analytics and reporting requirements of the fund. You will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our Enterprise Data Platform.

  • You will design, implement and optimize data pipelines to support data analytics and mobilisation use cases across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, optimize performance, and support strategic decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement and maintain robust data pipelines and assets that drive our analytics and data mobilization efforts.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, data stewards and data modellers to understand business needs and translate them into technical efficient data models.
  • Implement data cleansing and transformation logic within Databricks using dbt core, Spark SQL and Python following the medallion architecture principles.
  • Develop and maintain data models in silver and gold layers using dbt Core to create consumable datasets for reporting and analysis.
  • Monitor data pipelines and contribute to implementing data validation checks to identify and address data anomalies proactively.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects using Azure DevOps.
Requirements

In addition to this role, you will have experience in:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or a similar role in a mature Data warehouse environment.
  • Proven commercial experience with cloud-based platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF) and FiveTran.
  • Familiar with medallion architecture for data Lakehouse.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles and best practices.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $180,000-$220,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
