About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Policy and Projects Officer to join our Diversion Team within the Women Family and Community Safety Directorate. The successful candidate will lead key policy projects related to the diversion of people affected by Mental Health and Cognitive Impairment (MHCI) issues and Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) use from the criminal justice system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead policy development and manage program delivery to address ongoing system gaps.
  • Provide strategic advice on emerging program and policy issues to progress key opportunities for system improvement.
  • Develop and implement complex policy and program reform initiatives.
  • Manage stakeholders across agencies to ensure effective collaboration and coordination.
Requirements
  • Significant experience leading the development and delivery of strategic projects related to MHCI and AOD in the context of the NSW criminal justice system.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience in project management and partnership building across government agencies.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and coordinate program governance groups.
