About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate to join our Financing & Advisory Group in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the origination and execution of structured finance transactions across various sectors, including Mining, Metals, and related industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling: Prepare, customize, optimize, and maintain financial models supporting advisory mandates, including creating and running financial scenarios and sensitivities.
  • Transaction Support: Provide day-to-day transaction support, including structuring, pricing, preparing credit applications, undertaking detailed financial analyses and due diligence analyses.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all relevant compliance practices and other internal requirements are respected in relation to the execution of advisory & lending transactions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other business lines within Financing & Advisory, as well as with staff from business divisions and support functions locally, regionally, and globally.
  • Client Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and external advisors, including lenders, legal counsel, and technical consultants.

Requirements:

  • Education: University degree in a relevant discipline (Finance, Engineering, Business, Commerce, Law) or a professional financial qualification.
  • Experience: 3-5 years' relevant experience in structured finance, with a strong background in financial modeling and transaction support.
  • Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including strong financial modeling skills, and experience in generating pitch material that is clear, structured, compelling, and comprehensive in addressing clients' needs.
