The Role: Regional Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated customer service-orientated business leader to manage our Bowen rural branch.

As Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of 3 and providing leadership and direction to the branch team. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership and direction to the branch team.
  • Motivating employees & setting appropriate individual & team performance goals.
  • Conducting performance appraisals.
  • Fostering a positive work environment.

You will also be responsible for maximising the efficiency and sales of the branch, developing & maintaining strong business relationships with current & potential customers, and working closely with sales teams to generate new opportunities in the district.

Apart from these key responsibilities, you will also need to participate in trade shows & conventions, regularly review & control production costs, operational expenses, and overheads, manage budget and allocate funds appropriately for the branch, and prepare daily, weekly or month end reports.

About You

To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Established experience in a senior leadership role ideally in the rural sector.
  • A highly motivated, enthusiastic and positive leadership style.
  • Exceptional customer service & interpersonal skills.
  • Technical and/or sales expertise.
  • High level reasoning, problem solving and planning skills.
  • Professional presentation with a friendly and helpful manner with an ability to deal effectively with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to manage your own time, meet deadlines and take responsibility for your output and the quality of your work.
  • Current & valid Driver's licence. Current Forklift licence highly regarded.

Knowledge & understanding of products, seasonal timing and general requirements of rural producers within the area advantageous but not essential.
