Qube Bulk division provides comprehensive mine-to-market and mine resupply solutions, offering services in mine, road, rail, storage, port, and ship operations. Our expertise extends to handling over 85 million tonnes per annum of various bulk ores, concentrates, mineral sands, salt, coal, and dangerous goods.

Key Role Summary

The Regional Maintenance Manager (off-road) is responsible for leading the activities of the workshop in servicing and repairing the company's transport fleet. This includes developing a service maintenance and preventative maintenance plan to minimize disruptions to the fleet and customers. Additionally, this role ensures the workshop adheres to company procurement policies, procedures, and systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage compliance with health, safety, and environmental obligations and requirements
  • Ensure adherence to customer, quality assurance, and documentation standards
  • Develop and implement the Regional Business Plan
  • Provide effective leadership and development opportunities to line managers and superintendents
  • Oversee operating cost performance, including budget development and achievement of agreed targets
  • Assist with future regional projects through opportunity identification, operational design, and execution plans
  • Promote Qube business divisions (Qube Logistics, Qube Ports) when commercially viable opportunities arise
  • Liaise professionally with customers, regulatory authorities, and suppliers to promote Qube Bulk positively
  • Provide timely and accurate data input and reporting on the region's operational performance and business development
  • Manage the Performance Management process for operational staff, focusing on best practice techniques

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Substantial knowledge of the trucking, bulk haulage, and port sectors, with a deep understanding of mobile fleets and associated equipment
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing and developing employees, preferably in ports, logistics, or heavy industry environments
  • Diploma in Business, Logistics, or a related field, equivalent or higher
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with diverse individuals
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work autonomously, employing a proactive approach to task resolution
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in demanding environments
  • Able to collaborate effectively within small teams
