The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a prestigious academic offering that fosters globally minded learners. As the IBDP Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in guiding staff, students, and families through the programme's unique demands and opportunities.
This key leadership position requires an inspiring leader who can champion the IB philosophy, foster a culture of inquiry, and ensure that the needs of students are met with care and precision.
Key responsibilities include managing the day-to-day administration of the programme, leading curriculum development and review, supporting teachers in best practice, ensuring IB compliance, and promoting international-mindedness. You will also work closely with students, empowering them to achieve academic excellence and personal growth while navigating the challenges of the Diploma.
To be successful, you will need strong leadership and communication skills, deep knowledge of the IBDP framework, and the ability to inspire confidence in staff, students, and families alike.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the growth and development of the IBDP within the school.
- Create a culture of academic inquiry and international-mindedness that promotes student success.
- E nsure alignment of teaching programmes with IB standards and practices.
- Oversee curriculum planning, subject group coordination, and integration of core components (TOK, CAS, EE).
- Monitor and support assessment practices to maintain integrity and consistency.
- Serve as the main liaison between the school and the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO).
- Ensure policies, practices, and reporting requirements are met.
- Foster strong relationships with parents, staff, and the IB community.
