About the Role

The school is seeking a visionary leader to develop and deliver our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

This role requires an inspiring leader who can champion the IB philosophy, foster a culture of inquiry, and ensure that students' needs are met with care and precision.

Key responsibilities include managing programme administration, leading curriculum development, supporting teachers in best practice, ensuring IB compliance, and promoting international-mindedness.

You will work closely with students, empowering them to achieve academic excellence and personal growth while navigating the Diploma challenges.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Lead strategic vision and growth of the IBDP within the school.
  • Create a culture of academic inquiry and international-mindedness.
  • Evaluate alignment of teaching programmes with IB standards and practices.
  • Oversee curriculum planning, subject group coordination, and integration of core components (TOK, CAS, EE).
  • Monitor and support assessment practices to maintain integrity and consistency.
  • Serve as the main liaison between the school and the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO).
  • Evaluate policies, practices, and reporting requirements.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents, staff, and the IB community.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the Teachers Registration Board.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Practical Assessment.
  • Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (employment category).
  • A current National Police Check.
