Clinical Nurse Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our team at the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. As an identified position, this role requires the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership, advice, and support to the clinical workforce on issues related to First Nation people's health and the patient journey through the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
- Provide a leadership role to increase the cultural capability of the workforce as it relates to the delivery of clinical services.
- Provide mentoring and support to the nursing and midwifery graduates and student workforce, including the recipients of the Indigenous Academic Merit Scholarship.
- Support the Nursing Director in developing opportunities to enhance the First Nations nursing and midwifery workforce.
As a valued member of our team, you will receive a generous remuneration package, including a salary range of $ to $ p.f. (Nurse Grade 7), annual leave with 17.5% loading, and 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements- Proof of qualification (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent), registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and possession of a current practising certificate.
- Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
