About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our team at the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will provide leadership, advice, and support to the clinical workforce on issues related to First Nation people's health and the patient journey through our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the clinical workforce on First Nation people's health and wellbeing
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase the cultural capability of the workforce
  • Mentor and support nursing and midwifery graduates and students
  • Support the Nursing Director in developing opportunities to enhance the First Nations nursing and midwifery workforce

We offer a generous remuneration package, comprising a salary range of $ to $ p.f., annual leave with 17.5% loading, and 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. Requirements
  • Proof of qualification (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent)
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Current practising certificate
  • Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field (highly desirable)
  • Possession of a class C drivers' licence
