About the Role

As a Home Care Worker with Uniting, you will provide essential support and companionship to older individuals living in their own homes. This rewarding role requires you to travel to clients' residences, utilizing your vehicle, and engage in activities that empower their independence and enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Home Assistance: Provide housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation services to ensure clients' daily needs are met.
  • Personal Care: Assist with personal care tasks, including showering, dressing, mealtime support, and medication administration.
  • Transportation: Offer transportation for appointments, shopping trips, and social activities, promoting clients' mobility and connection with their community.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
  • Medication competency is highly desirable.
  • Provisional or full Australian driver's license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • Availability on weekends and some weekdays.
  • Previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in this field.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.

Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $62,000-$74,000, based on part-time permanent positions available and including hourly rates of $29.94 to $34.76 per hour plus $0.99 per km and travel time. Additionally, you can enjoy the benefits mentioned above.
