The Opportunity

We are currently hiring a Head of Engineering to lead the software engineering function within the delivery engineering team in Melbourne. As a senior leader within the delivery function, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the product development teams in the region, which includes owning the development processes and tooling used in Melbourne.

You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure product delivery for the region is managed well and release plans are up-to-date. Additionally, the role requires a strong leader who can motivate and inspire the engineering team to achieve excellence while aligning with Gentrack's global product development practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of Gentrack's product development teams in Australia
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure product delivery for the region is managed well
  • Lead and manage a team of experienced engineering managers, tech leads, and team leads
  • Be part of the global Product Development Senior Leadership Team
  • Collaborate with the Product Director ANZ/Head of Product, Customer Success, Customer Delivery, Senior Sales, and Account Managers
Requirements
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of engineering managers and software developers
  • Strong technical background with experience in software engineering and development methodologies
  • Proven track record of successful product delivery within a SaaS environment
  • Experience in the utility domain or related industries
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
