We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary/Paralegal to join our team in Sydney, Australia.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work with an internationally renowned integrated IP firm that attracts top IP professionals and enviable clients. As a valued member of our national Chemistry/Life Sciences team, you will be the right-hand person to two outstanding patent attorneys, assisting with the protection, commercialisation, and enforcement of intellectual property.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Preparing and proof-reading correspondence and documents
  • Uploading documents and maintaining accurate information on client portals
  • Liaising with IP Australia for document productions, lodgements, and amendments
  • General administration tasks, such as diary management, arranging travel, and meetings

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a legal secretary/administrator or paralegal in intellectual property (preferably patents)
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Office, with fast typing and accuracy (minimum 55wpm)
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record as a team player
  • High accuracy and ability to meet deadlines

Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per annum
