Key Responsibilities- Assist with the management of club operations, administration, and profitability;
- Provide leadership, motivation, and innovation as a team leader;
- Ensure highly efficient and consistent operational processes;
- Provide operational support to all departments, including Reception, Food & Beverage, Tennis/Squash, Maintenance, Crèche, Gym, Pool, and Sales;
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty;
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives;
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to inform business decisions;
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements;
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including members, staff, and suppliers;
- Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge;
- Contribute to the development of business plans, budgets, and forecasts;
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements;
- Ensure the club is maintained to a high standard, including facilities, equipment, and grounds;
- Manage and resolve conflicts and issues in a fair and timely manner;
- Ensure the club is compliant with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards;
- Develop and implement strategies to improve staff engagement and retention;
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures;
- Provide input into the development of company policies and procedures;
- Represent the club at external events and functions as required;
- Perform other duties as required by the General Manager or Board of Directors.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the health and fitness industry;
- Proven track record of success in operations management, customer service, and team leadership;
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities;
- High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality;
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required;
- Willingness to complete any necessary training or certifications, including WHS/OHS and Pool Operations;
- Pool Lifeguard qualifications or willingness to complete;
- Food and Beverage management experience would be advantageous;
- Strong administration and sound financial skills;
- Extensive operational experience;
- Effective organisational skills and team focused qualities;
- Proficient in developing excellent working relationships with all levels of staff and the ability to develop exceptional customer relations with our valued members;
- Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
