Medical Legal Specialist Role

About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical legal specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications, be eligible to practice as a solicitor in Australia, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality legal advice and services in respect of medical defence matters to clients and members.
  • Provide general medico-legal advice to clients and stakeholders.
  • Apear on behalf of medical practitioners before various tribunals.
Key Requirements
  • Relevant post-admission experience in private practice (ideally 2-4 years PQE) in medical negligence and professional conduct related litigation.
  • Previous experience in conducting all phases of litigation and/or professional conduct cases.
  • Good computer literacy and competency to work in an electronic document management environment.
