About Avant Law

Avant Law is a leading medical defence organisation in Australia with a proud heritage of protecting doctors for over 125 years.

We are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join our Perth office for a permanent, full-time role.

The Role:
  • Deliver high-quality legal advice and services in respect of Professional Conduct matters to Avant Insurance claims managers and Avant's members.
  • Provide professional, thorough, and effective legal service to achieve the best outcome for Avant's members.
  • Represent members in legal proceedings, attend court, tribunals, or inquiries, and through clear and persuasive advocacy achieve the best outcome for the member.
Key Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary legal qualifications.
  • Eligible to hold an unsupervised practising certificate as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia.
  • Demonstrated post-admission experience (ideally over 2 years) in defence health, and professional conduct-related litigation and insurance.
