About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resource Advisor to join our team at APG Workforce. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the management team in all aspects of HR, including employee relations, industrial relations, and workforce development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations: Assist with the annual performance appraisal cycle, including coaching managers through effective goal-setting and providing guidance on employee disciplinary processes.
  • Industrial Relations: Interpret and advise managers on Enterprise Agreements (EA) and industrial instruments, negotiate and implement enterprise agreements, and ensure all legislative requirements are met.
  • Workforce Development: Assist with the preparation and administration of training programs, conduct exit interviews, and plan and conduct recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor legislation, manage grievance procedures, and respond to internal complaints in a prompt, fair, and thorough manner.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in HR/Business or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous professional experience as a HR generalist, experience managing union relationships, handling industrial disputes, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and managing IR/ER matters.
  • Skills: Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities, effective communication capability, verbal and written, strong people agility, and sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act.
