About the Role

The Customer Service & Support Officer plays a pivotal role in creating a positive experience for everyone contacting or attending the Australian Red Cross Office. This role provides a welcoming and safe connection point and reception environment for clients, volunteers, members, partners, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver effective and efficient quality customer-focused service
  • Facilitate access to information and support services
  • Provide operational and administrative support to enable Red Cross facilities and fleet to support and deliver services to stakeholders and customers
Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of solution-focused customer service practices
  • Ability to identify and implement effective and efficient reception and administration systems
  • Sound verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deliver sensitive and responsive customer services to all people
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver outputs within specified time frames
  • Ability to exercise judgement and initiative within defined policies and practices
  • Proficient computer skills, especially with Microsoft Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to manage challenging situations
  • A commitment to reconciliation with First Nation's people
  • Ability to work under general supervision, autonomously, and as part of a team within a matrix structure
