Lead Event Coordinator Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to oversee our events team. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding, training, supervising, and leading the team on the floor amidst the action.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily pre-shift briefings with employees on preparation, service, and menu
  • Assign tasks and monitor performance of frontline staff
  • Adapt quickly to last-minute changes with autonomy
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate between chefs, wait staff, beverage staff, clients, and other support staff
  • Train and develop staff members' skills in food and beverage and customer service
  • Deliver a high standard of service to members and guests
  • Provide bar and/or table service to guests of the Events Centre
  • Arrange furniture as required
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the Events Centre
  • Work with a team focused on Workplace Health and Safety

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years experience working in banquets/events
  • Current Queensland RSA
  • High standard of customer service experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Friendly and positive attitude
  • Fast and efficient, confident, and reliable
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Self-motivated with ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision
  • Flexible to work fluctuating hours according to operational requirements
