Role Overview



We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Governance Specialist to join our Company Secretariat team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual who is passionate about corporate governance and administration.



The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Board, Board Committees, and Enterprise Management Committees, ensuring that all meetings run smoothly and efficiently. This includes coordinating logistics, managing meeting papers, and providing technical support for meetings.



This role offers a challenging and varied workload with opportunities to work with senior executives and Directors of the Avant Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate governance principles and practices, as well as excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.



About Our Role


  • Provide administrative support to the Board, Board Committees, and Enterprise Management Committees, including coordination of meetings, preparation of meeting papers, and provision of technical support.
  • Manage travel arrangements for Directors, including booking flights, accommodation, and making travel arrangements.
  • Liaise with the Group IT team to ensure that all technology and office equipment are functioning properly.
  • Process invoices and reimbursement for directors.
  • Assist with maintenance of corporate registers, including preparing and lodging regulatory forms.
  • File and retrieve corporate records, documents, and reports.
  • Digitize company secretary procedures.
  • Update internal websites.
  • Perform other executive administration tasks as required.


Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • A self-motivated and adaptable approach to administration, with experience supporting Boards and/or Board Committees and/or C-suite executives.
  • An understanding of corporate governance principles and practices, including the role of the Board, Directors, and Executive.
  • A balanced skill set, exceptional organisational, interpersonal, and time management skills, with the ability to plan, multitask, and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, including executive, C-suite, and Board, both internally and externally.
  • The ability to handle confidential information.
