Job Title: Financial Expertise Specialist

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure end of month processing and reconciliation is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations, supporting internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to budgeting and financial reporting, analyzing performance to provide strategic insights.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial processes, including monthly closing procedures, forecasting, and customer billing. They must be well-organized and analytical in their approach.

Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, revise, edit and produce documentation ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to engage in learning about other cultures and take action to provide services inclusive of Aboriginal people.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certification (e.g. CPA, CA) is desirable.
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.
Other Requirements
  • Valid Drivers License that allows you to drive in Australia.
  • Victorian Employee Working with Children Check card.
  • National Police Check.
