Role Summary:
The Specialist Disability Support Practitioner role offers an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
This position involves providing expert support and guidance to families navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to ensure they receive the necessary support to meet their unique needs.
A key focus area for this role is assisting families in building capacity, accessing disability supports, and participating effectively in the NDIS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver case managed assistance to children and parents with disabilities to empower them to reach their full potential.
- Support families in accessing and participating in the NDIS, including connecting them with relevant services and resources.
- Provide strategic consultations to the broader Child and Family Services system within the Mallee region.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong understanding of the NDIS and its complexities. A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or related field, along with substantial experience in the service stream, is essential.
