A leading Federal Government Department is seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineering Expert to spearhead the design, build, and support of advanced network infrastructure across a large-scale environment.

About the Role

This 12-month contract position comes with the possibility of a 24-month extension and offers a unique opportunity for an experienced network engineer to contribute to a high-impact role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage infrastructure for network and computing environments, including WAN, LAN, WLAN, firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of network designs, providing technical and strategic advice to executive teams.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and manage change to enhance network infrastructure capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and third-party vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in large-scale data center networking, including Cisco, F5, and Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Expertise in high-level network design and configuration for complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong skills in diagnostics, problem-solving, and producing design documentation.
  • Knowledge of Australian Government security policies, including the ASD Information Security Manual.
Salary and Benefits
