The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network/Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Cisco network and Palo Alto security infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to optimize network efficiency and reliability.
  • Participating in IT network infrastructure project design, reviews, and ensuring network architecture goals and requirements are met and aligned with business objectives.
  • Developing network and security documentation, including diagrams and work instructions, test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in network administration.

You will also need:

  • Certifications in Cisco (CCNA/CCNP).
  • Strong expertise with Cisco Routing, Switching, and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • The ability to configure equipment and troubleshoot complex environments, including routing and switching, L2 & L3 protocols.
  • Experience with SD-WAN and network virtualization technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Adaptability to learn new technologies and industry trends.
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable, and well-organised.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
