Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Network Expert and Architect to join our team in Canberra, Australia. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting advanced networking solutions for our enterprise and commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level post-sales engineering support for Arista's Open Networking Data Center and Campus networking deployments
  • Review customer network designs and make recommendations for deployment, focusing on EVPN, VxLAN, and leaf-spine architectures
  • Assist customers in deploying and maintaining Arista's Network Packet Broker solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure
  • Migrate or interconnect to/from Cisco, Juniper, and other vendors to Arista infrastructure, minimizing downtime and disruption
  • Create network provisioning automation using Python, Chef, or Ansible, streamlining configuration build-outs and reducing errors
  • Implement and manage change controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs) and in-depth testing to validate design scenarios, providing actionable insights to customers
  • Collaborate with internal development teams and TAC to resolve complex issues and improve overall system performance
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with a strong foundation in networking principles and protocols
  • 5+ years' experience working with network technologies, including network design and deployments of Campus and Data Center networks
  • Proven expertise in Cisco-based technologies, focusing on infrastructure and voice, with a solid understanding of Ethernet, VLANs, VxLAN, EVPN, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, Multicast, QoS, Wi-Fi, and NPB
  • Expertise in at least one area of Data Center related technologies, such as Openstack, SDN, NFV, Load Balancers, Virtualization, Linux tools, and scripting languages like Perl, Python, and Bash
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective Leaf-Spine Network solutions
  • Ability to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for sales and clients, exercising discretion and independent judgment when necessary
