Legal Advisor for Transactional Matters

Our organization is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their legal team for a fixed period of 6 to 12 months.

This role will involve providing high quality legal advice as a trusted legal advisor. The ideal candidate will be proactive, bring a can-do attitude and demonstrate a keen interest in providing solutions including:

  • Providing legal advice in relation to capital transactions, market processes, development activities, dispute resolution and regulatory compliance.
  • Developing and structuring transactions.
  • Educating project teams and other business stakeholders on the legal aspects of the business's activities.
  • Managing external lawyers and probity advisors.
  • Assisting in the training and mentoring of lawyers and paralegals.

The key requirements include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in law and admission in New South Wales.
  • Substantial experience in property and/or construction law; drafting and negotiating complex property and project documentation.
  • High-level written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence and engage with key stakeholders.
  • Exposure to construction, planning, tax and litigation within the property development context.
