Legal Counsel

Beacon Legal have partnered with a leading international renewable energy business in their search for a new Legal Counsel. They are looking to hire someone at the 3-6 PQE level, to be based in their Sydney office.
About the Role- Provide legal support across a wide range of commercial and project-related matters throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Assist in the review, drafting and negotiation of key agreements with contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with business teams across development, finance, construction, and operations to enable project success.
- Support engagement with external advisors and counterparties to progress transactions and manage risk.
- Contribute to broader strategic initiatives and provide guidance on compliance and governance matters as required.
- Admitted as a lawyer in Australia.
- Practising as a construction or major projects lawyer for 3-6 years in private practice and/or in-house.
- Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Collaborative, adaptable and self-motivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail, able to prioritise multiple tasks and take ownership of smaller matters while supporting complex projects.
- Genuine interest in the renewable energy sector and a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset.
