Job Title: Health Safety and Environmental Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) professional to join our team as a SHEQ Advisor.

This is a permanent full-time position within our Telecommunications sector, offering flexibility and ownership of your role. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating on HSE consultative committees, maintaining key client relationships, and advising projects on SHEQ issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with legislative requirements, workplace standards & processes
  • Develop and maintain SHEQ specific documentation (procedures, forms, safe work method statements, toolbox talks, SHEQ Alerts etc.)
  • Conduct quality assurance and monitoring & reporting on the quality of works via audits, reviewing non-conformances and corrective actions ensuring prompt closure
  • Enter records into Vensafe (incidents, hazards, inspections and actions)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in OHS/WHS or related field
  • Experience with return to work programs
  • Experience in providing HSE administrative and systems support
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Current drivers license and construction white card
  • Lead auditor training (desired)
  • ICAM incident investigation training (desired)
  • Training in environment and/or quality management systems (desired)
