Job Summary:

A highly skilled Health, Safety and Environment Professional is required to lead our organization’s health, safety and environmental initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards and best practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and maintain health, safety and environment policies, procedures and programs to ensure regulatory compliance and optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks and implement effective controls and corrective actions.
  • Monitor and analyze incident reports, accident investigations and near-miss data to identify trends, root causes and areas for improvement.
  • Lead and facilitate the Health, Safety and Environment Committee, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Promote a positive safety culture by organizing safety campaigns, promoting safety awareness initiatives and recognizing employees for their contributions to health, safety and environmental performance.
  • Prepare and submit relevant reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience 5+ years as a Health, Safety and Environment Professional or a similar role, preferably in the Construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations, standards and best practices.
  • Excellent understanding of risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and manage health, safety and environment programs.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence employees at all levels.
