EH&S Specialist Job Description

The EH&S Specialist will develop and implement environmental, health, and safety programs across internal operations and external deployments.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop, document, and communicate EH&S programs to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Lead Safety Assessments and Inspections to identify and resolve hazardous risks.
  • Develop sustainability programs supporting ecology philosophy (waste reduction, energy efficiency).
  • Manage EH&S documentation, permits, and compliance tracking systems.
Internal Operations:
  • Develop and maintain internal EH&S policies and safety training programs.
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits of production floors and office spaces.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and Cal/OSHA regulations.
External Deployments:
  • Develop site-specific safety plans for customer deployments.
  • Conduct field safety audits and risk assessments at customer sites.
  • Coordinate safety responsibilities with GCs, site owners, and subcontractors.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in EH&S, ideally in manufacturing or field deployment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and local EH&S codes.
Preferred Certifications:
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction or General Industry.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), CHST, or similar.
