West Ballina's esteemed Westower Tavern is seeking an accomplished Executive Chef Manager to lead its kitchen team.

Salary

$80,000 - $90,000 per annum, plus superannuation and a half-yearly bonus.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for running the pass during peak service periods to ensure timely and accurate dish preparation that exceeds guest expectations.

  • Menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation will also be key responsibilities.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to the kitchen team while fostering a positive and productive working environment.
  • Creating and managing staff rosters to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety and adherence to compliance and safety regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, applicants must have:

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or similar position in a high-volume establishment.
  • Able to lead effective teams and cultivate a positive culture.
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Operational expertise to achieve financial and business objectives.
  • Trade Cooking qualifications.
  • A desire to be part of a fun, productive, and professional team.
