About the Role

This critical position plays a pivotal role in the delivery of safe and equitable health services to the population of Central Queensland. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the successful candidate will provide dynamic strategic and professional leadership for the nursing and midwifery staff across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement workforce management strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing and midwifery services.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on quality and professional standards, education, research, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the reputation of and regard for nursing and midwifery in the achievement of best practice outcomes.
  • Lead the development and implementation of contemporary resource management policies, practices, guidelines, and standards for nursing and midwifery.
Requirements
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Expert contemporary knowledge of all aspects of the nursing and midwifery profession from an international, national, and state perspective.
  • Expertise in material, financial, and resource management, including the strategic approach to developing and integrating contemporary resource management policies, practices, guidelines, and standards for nursing and midwifery.
  • Proven ability to lead, collaborate, and consult with key stakeholders in planning health services and associated budgetary accountabilities.
What We Offer
  • Total remuneration value of $23,756 p.m., comprised of an hourly rate of $126 p.h., 12.75% employer superannuation contribution, and 17.5% leave loading.
