Key responsibilities of the Program Support Team Lead include leading and supporting a team of support workers who provide person-centred care to adults engaged in residential rehabilitation programs and withdrawal management units.

Leadership Role
  • Coordinate day-to-day service delivery by maintaining effective rosters to ensure all shifts are appropriately staffed.
  • Evaluate and refine service delivery to align with established standards, policies, and accreditation requirements.
  • Implement and monitor service delivery tools and systems to ensure seamless operations.
  • Support client-centred practices such as supervised medication, meaningful daily activities, and smooth admissions and discharges.
  • Foster continuous quality improvement, clinical governance, and risk management across service operations.
  • Provide direct line management, supervision, and performance support for support workers.
  • Develop and support professional growth of team members through personal goal setting and ongoing feedback.
  • Encourage team cohesion and foster strong internal relationships.

Required qualifications and skills include:

Essential Requirements
  • A degree in social work, welfare, community development, or a related field, OR significant sector experience and knowledge developed through prior roles, training, and professional development.
  • Relevant experience working in the community services, health, or AOD sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and leadership.
  • A current and valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • A valid driver's licence.
