The Opportunity

HCA has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Service Coordinator. Based in our Townsville (Garbutt) branch, the key focus of this role is the co-ordination of services, repairs, & machine builds for our field service technicians for the Greater Townsville region.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will also:

  • Ensure our field service employees comply with all WHS responsibilities, and that above all, a safety-first culture is a consistent behaviour within the team
  • Guide and support the team to improve performance and efficiencies
  • Ensure efficient utilisation of equipment and resources in line with customer requirements and agreed budgets
  • Provide guidance and support to field service team members
  • Supervise the time sheet accuracy and sub-contract documentation to enable prompt job costing
  • Provide timely and accurate quotations for field service activities
  • Support existing customers through maintaining strong communication while proactively resolving issues
  • As the ideal candidate you will also have:
  • Experience in a similar position with the ability to demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills while managing your time efficiently within a high paced work environment
  • A strong ability to navigate complex issues, and be ambitious in achieving success
  • A strong understanding in financial best practices of service delivery including labour, overtime, overnight accommodation and travel recovery
  • Attention to detail in documenting and follow-up
  • A Safety First leadership style
  • A strong understanding of earthmoving/construction equipment, or relevant experience within a related field. Previous OEM experience will be highly advantageous
