Event and Venue Assistant Position

We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Event and Venue Assistant to make a real impact on the community by achieving important outcomes.

This role involves presenting, operating, and promoting a high-quality function venue that meets the needs of the community.

The successful candidate will have qualifications or demonstrated experience in event and function management, hospitality, or customer service provision.

Demonstrated ability to set priorities, use initiative, and work independently and as part of a team is essential.

Job Responsibilities
  • Present, operate, and promote the Civic Centre as a high-quality function venue
  • Support the management of functions and events with excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Work effectively in a team with sound interpersonal skills

Previous experience in facility management or working with lighting, sound systems, and theatre operations would be an advantage.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualifications or demonstrated experience in event and function management, hospitality, or related field
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, use initiative, and work independently and as part of a team
Benefits

This position is offered on a permanent part-time basis working 22.5 hours per week on a 7-day rostered arrangement.

Remuneration for this position is based on the salary system which equates to a base salary between $59,132.32 - $66,515.80 per annum plus superannuation.
