Haulage Manager Position

The Haulage Manager is a key role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the efficient delivery of quarry products to various mine sites and locations across the Bowen Basin.

This position manages daily haulage operations, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and leads a team of both employees and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fleet & Logistics– Manage scheduling, truck allocation, and delivery coordination.
  • Workforce & Contractor Management– Lead and develop a team of drivers and subcontractors.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding– Assist HR with hiring and onboarding new drivers.
  • Maintenance & Compliance– Organize truck servicing and repairs while ensuring regulatory and safety compliance.
  • Customer Liaison– Maintain strong client relationships and ensure delivery requirements are met.
  • Reporting & Performance Monitoring– Track key performance indicators and provide operational updates.
Requirements:
  • Experience– 5+ years in haulage management or logistics.

  • Regulatory Knowledge– Strong understanding of NHVR, fatigue management, and heavy vehicle compliance.
  • Fleet & Maintenance Expertise– Experience managing truck schedules, servicing, and repairs.
  • Qualifications & Licences– S11, Coal Board Medical, S123 (highly desired), MC Driver's Licence (highly desired).
  • Safety Focus– Strong commitment to compliance and workplace safety.
  • Ability to Pass a Drug & Alcohol Screen– Mandatory pre-employment requirement.
