Underground Mining Operator

Byrnecut is a full-service underground mining contractor providing services to major mine owners throughout Australia and internationally.
We operate a multi-million dollar fleet of specialised underground mining equipment across multiple continents and conditions, employing nearly 6,000 employees worldwide.
Job SummaryWe are currently seeking Underground Nippers for our Western Australian Operations. This is a permanent, full-time position with a leading Tier 1 Mining Contractor, offering a competitive salary package and comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Attend pre-shift meetings each shift to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct pre-start checks on equipment to prevent delays and accidents.
- Identify and report hazards using the site hazard reporting system to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist drillers with materials such as hydraulic oils, mesh, and bolts to prevent drilling delays.
- Carry out standard workplace inspections, practices, and procedures to maintain compliance.
- At least six months of underground experience is essential for this role.
- You must hold a current and valid manual Australian driver's license.
- A national police clearance is required prior to employment.
- You must also hold a current Dangerous Goods Security Card.
- A good understanding of general OHS principles is necessary.
- Clear and concise verbal skills, proficient English reading and writing skills, and a strong work ethic are required for success in this role.
The estimated annual salary for this role is $95,000 - $110,000, depending on experience.
