We are seeking an experienced Mine Planning Professional to join our team in an Underground Development role at Mining Employment Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering mine plans safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Accurate Mine Plans: Translate conceptual designs into execution-ready plans for approval by the Senior Planning Engineer.
- Maintain Instruction Clarity: Ensure issued instructions are clear, accurate, and easily understood by Operations.
- Collaborate with Geology Team: Align designs with geological data to optimize mine planning.
- Evaluate Remnant Areas: Identify potential areas for future development to maximize mine potential.
- Manage Underground Contractors: Assist in managing contractors for project-related work as needed.
- Prioritize Development Activities: Work alongside survey and operations teams to prioritize and execute development activities.
- Contribute to Mine Planning Functions: Participate in various Mine Planning functions, including budgets, forecasts, life-of-mine plans, reserves, ventilation, and capital projects.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering;
- Competent using Deswik CAD and IS;
- Underground completed.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a permanent position offering relocation assistance and a 5:2/4:3 residential roster.
