Mining Employment Services is currently seeking a highly skilled Underground Mining Operations Manager to join our client, a leading gold development with extensive open pit and underground operations in Western Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical services support in both planning and production for the mining operation. This role requires statutory supervision of the underground mine and involves overseeing stoping design development and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily production activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution of planning and production tasks in compliance with the plan;
- Develop and implement stoping designs that meet operational requirements;
- Supervise and coordinate mining teams to achieve production targets;
- Ensure accurate and timely End of Month reporting;
- Identify and complete infrastructure and optimisation projects to improve mining efficiency;
- Prepare and monitor budgets to ensure effective resource allocation;
- Comply with relevant legislation, including WHS Act 2020 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mining Engineering;
- First Class Mine Managers Certificate;
- Proficient in using Datamine, Ventsim software or similar.
We offer a competitive salary range of AU$180,000 - AU$220,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a generous benefits package.
