Lead Mental Health Clinician

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Mental Health Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in implementing evidence-based suicide prevention strategies and providing clinical leadership.

About the Role:

  • Leadership and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement the Zero Suicide Framework, ensuring seamless integration with existing services.
  • Clinical Expertise: Utilize advanced knowledge in child and youth mental health to provide high-quality clinical care and support the development of education and training programs.
  • Professional Development: Contribute to the growth and development of staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Suicide Prevention Strategies: Implement and adapt evidence-based suicide prevention strategies to ensure best practices are met.
  • Clinical Care Coordination: Coordinate the delivery of clinical care, prioritizing the needs of clients and their carers.
  • Education and Training: Develop and deliver education and training programs on the Zero Suicide Framework for various professions and services.
  • Advocacy and Partnership: Build strong relationships with stakeholders to advocate for the mental health needs of clients and their carers.

Requirements:

  • Mental Health Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience working in mental health, with a focus on child and youth mental health.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects, demonstrating effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Clinical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of child and youth mental health, including the Zero Suicide Framework and evidence-based suicide prevention strategies.
