Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Unit Manager to lead our team at a prestigious Frenchs Forest clinic. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and clinical skills, with a strong understanding of current trends, research, and policies in Oncology Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing leadership and workforce management
  • Excel in clinical service planning and management
  • Set performance goals with the team and enable these to be achieved
  • Actively support and champion initiatives to improve culture, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of the nursing team
  • Drive and lead the implementation of project initiatives
  • Assist and support staff in education, research, and development opportunities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
  • Clinical experience as a nurse – 5 years nursing with at least 3 years Medical Oncology experience
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS
  • Strong commitment to quality patient care
