Candidate ProfileWe seek a diligent and proactive individual with experience in accounting or finance roles, particularly in accounts payable. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and confidence in utilising financial systems and Microsoft Office.
Key Responsibilities- Processing and coding invoices to ensure accurate approval procedures are followed.
- Managing accounts payable services to guarantee timely payments.
- Performing quality control checks, including reconciling supplier statements and following up on outstanding invoices.
- Handling accounts payable enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Supporting travel allowance payments and other financial administration tasks.
- Contributing to team-based finance activities and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
- Experience in providing accounting or finance support, particularly in accounts payable.
- Proficiency in financial systems such as Basware (or similar), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and general accounting practices.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Awareness of WHS obligations, EEO principles, and public sector standards.
