Job Title: Actuary/Senior Pricing Advisor

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Actuary/Senior Pricing Advisor to join our team at Vero Insurance. As a key member of our pricing team, you will be responsible for developing pricing recommendations and proposals that align with our business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop pricing recommendations and proposals that closely align with our pricing strategy and budget.
  • Guide pricing and senior pricing analysts on all pricing tasks.
  • Analyze data and reports to identify trends and drive innovation and improvement in business results.
  • Translate P&L items into pricing assumptions.
  • Provide technical support on model methodologies and their implementation.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, or Data Analytics.
  • Minimum of 5 years pricing experience, preferably in the general insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and their business drivers.
  • Understanding of Actuarial IBNR/IBNER models.
  • Ability to develop solutions and courses of action by using an information base to identify key issues.
  • Knowledge of SAS, Excel, R, and other programming skillsets.
