Actuarial Analyst

Make a Difference with IAG
As an Actuarial Analyst - Peril Pricing, you will be part of a market-leading team responsible for delivering peril pricing and reinsurance costs to the IAG business units across Australia and New Zealand.
The team has expertise in actuarial sciences, engineering, GIS, and catastrophe modelling. Your technical background will build on this knowledge to deliver analytical insights to the Group and contribute to the engines pioneered by the team.
About You
- You have a tertiary qualification in actuarial sciences, statistics, applied mathematics, engineering, econometrics, or related disciplines.
- You'll have a good understanding of data modelling techniques, statistical methods, tools/languages such as R, SAS, SQL, ArcGIS.
- Hands-on data management and analytics experience is preferable, ideally gained from the general insurance or financial services sector.
- You can work autonomously in a solution-oriented and delivery-focused manner.
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary fast-paced team.
- Existing knowledge of some of the following will be looked upon favourably:
- Global Cat modelling software such as AIR, RMS, Imagery analytics/computer vision.
