About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuary/Senior Pricing Advisor to join our team at Vero Insurance. As a key member of our pricing team, you will play a critical role in developing pricing recommendations and proposals that align with our business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Lead and guide pricing analysts in their tasks, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of pricing recommendations.
  • Analyze data and reports to identify trends and opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Translate P&L items into pricing assumptions, ensuring a deep understanding of our business drivers.
  • Provide technical support on model methodologies and their implementation, ensuring seamless integration with our business operations.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, or Data Analytics.
  • Minimum of 5 years pricing experience, preferably in the general insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial insurance Products and their business drivers, including a deep understanding of an insurance P&L.
  • Understanding of Actuarial IBNR/IBNER models and their application in pricing.
  • Ability to develop solutions and courses of action by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data, and determine cause-effect relationships.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, using SAS, Excel, R, and other programming skillsets.
