About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing Actuary to join our SafetyCulture Care team. As a key member of our pricing and portfolio management function, you will be responsible for building and maintaining pricing and portfolio management infrastructures, conducting pricing and portfolio reviews, and providing recommendations to management to improve top and bottom line performance of our insurance products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain pricing and portfolio management models to ensure accurate and efficient pricing of our insurance products
  • Conduct regular pricing and portfolio reviews to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, underwriting, and data analytics, to implement pricing and portfolio changes
  • Provide expert advice on product pricing and assist underwriters and stakeholders with pricing enquiries
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve our pricing and portfolio management processes
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of general insurance commercial lines pricing experience in a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build statistical and financial models from scratch
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and VBA, with the ability to program in Python or R
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders
