  • You will analyze data to assess KPIs and cost metrics, forecast physicals and cost performance using historical data, trends, and mine planning models.
  • Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing mining methods by improving techniques and advising on mine design and ground support systems.
  • Evaluating equipment utilization by reviewing machinery performance and liaising with maintenance teams is another key responsibility.
  • Conducting operational audits to identify areas for improvement is vital to the success of this role.
  • You will provide technical training to support team adoption of best practices and operational standards.
  • Safety compliance is critical, requiring identification and mitigation of risks in underground mining activities.
  • Overseeing explosives use on-site and ensuring legislative compliance is also an essential aspect of this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience in mine planning and/or UG shift management, demonstrate behavior consistent with Westgold's values, and possess excellent communication skills.
